He must escort an Arabic prisoner to the nearest town.Albert Camus’ story “The Guest,” takes place in the rough terrain of Algeria at the end of World War II. Algeria, under French control at the time, was very tense due to civil unrest of the Arabic people. The protagonist of the story is Daru, a solitary French schoolteacher who lives.The Guest,” written by Albert Camus is a story that depicts a conflict between moral obligation to society and brotherhood. The main character in the story is an Algerian Born French school teacher by the name of Daru. He lives alone in his school house where he provides certain necessities to the poor families of the village near by.
